Schlafhorst

Schlafhorst company is one of the most famous manufacturers of textile machines in the world. In the following, you can see the list of production machines of this company in Ide Gostar Sanat.

Schlafhorst Company

For over a century, Schlafhorst has been an innovative and esteemed partner in the textile industry. On this page, you can explore the list of machines produced by this company, which stands as one of the leading textile machinery manufacturers in the world. Schlafhorst specializes in two primary production lines:

  • AUTOCORO Rotor Spinning Machine: The Autocoro separates individual fibers from a sliver, cleans impurities, and, using centrifugal force and rotation, converts them into yarn, directly winding the yarn onto cross-wound packages.
  • Autoconer Winding Machine: The Autoconer serves as the quality link between ring spinning and subsequent yarn processing. It winds yarn from bobbins onto cross-wound packages while automatically eliminating undesirable impurities, ensuring the highest quality packages with optimal package structure for efficient downstream processing.

History of Schlafhorst

Founded in 1884, Schlafhorst initially started by commercializing spare parts for the textile industry. The expansion of product offerings from 1901 led to the production of weaving preparation machinery. Subsequently, technological advancements in these machines culminated in a technical innovation: the first automatic Autoconer winding machine in 1962. In 1978, Schlafhorst introduced the fully automated AUTOCORO rotor spinning machine, making a significant contribution to the advancement of rotor spinning technology. In 1991, Schlafhorst joined the Swiss Saurer Textile Group, the world’s largest producer of advanced technology systems for spinning, winding, twisting, and embroidery.

Today, Schlafhorst, with over 2.2 million installed OE rotor spinning spindles worldwide, is the undisputed market leader in rotor spinning. The Autoconer has been synonymous with automatic winding for over 35 years, with more than 1.7 million Autoconer spindles installed globally.

Schlafhorst operates from two manufacturing sites in Germany (Mönchengladbach and Öbach-Palmbach) and has consistently built a global sales network, offering over 100 years of experience to customers worldwide.

Rotor Spinning

Rotor yarns are highly valued both as knitting yarn for t-shirts and as weaving yarn for denim, due to their specific uniformity. The raw materials are relatively inexpensive, and the production speed is exceptionally high. The cost-efficiency benchmark in this segment is the Autocoro and BD8 yarn from Saurer at Schlafhorst.

Air Spinning

Air-spun yarns are fine, smooth, with very low pilling tendency, and high moisture absorption speed. These qualities make them particularly suited for knitted apparel, workwear, and shrinkable textiles. Air-spun yarns can be produced at the highest speeds ever in the new Autoairo system by Saurer at Schlafhorst.
